Data Science Intern

Saving P’s is a FinTech start-up aiming to transform how people save by using artificial intelligence to help users save as they spend. We are looking for motivated intern data scientists to join our growing team that is developing predictive models for our mobile app.

Qualifications

Student with STEM background

Strong interpersonal and communication skills able to make concise presentations.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Hands-on experience using languages such as Python and R

Ability to translate analytical ideas into code using Python

Basic knowledge of machine learning techniques such as time series forecasting, classification and regression

The Role

This is an opportunity to develop in your first role as a data scientist and work collaboratively. You will be reporting to the CTO who will be on hand to guide and help you. We are also looking for those that are eager to learn and will take ownership of their tasks.


You'll join us as an intern for 6 months (flexible and remote working).


You will:

  • Assist in development of predictive algorithms for Saving P’s mobile app
  • Work with CTO to identify areas of improvement
  • Work with data engineer and mobile app developers to integrate and deploy AI algorithms
  • Code primarily in Python and create reports and presentations of results to share with stakeholders
