Accounting Intern

Saving P’s is a FinTech start-up aiming to transform how people save by using artificial intelligence to help users save as they spend. We are looking for motivated interns to join our partner project team.

Qualifications

Student working towards a degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration or recent graduate with an excellent academic record.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills able to make concise presentations.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

High level of attention to detail and demonstrate strong Excel skills. It goes without saying that accuracy in your calculations is essential.

Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project

Willingness to learn business systems and processes

The Role

This is an opportunity to develop in your first role as an accountant and work collaboratively. You will be part of a partner project team, collaborating with colleagues and partner firms to solve their toughest business problems. You will experience the full range of tasks in the accounting practice in a live environment. We are also looking for those that are eager to learn and will take ownership of their tasks.

You'll join us as an intern for 6 months (flexible and remote working).

You will:

Create cash flow forecasts, reconciling the control accounts, creating schedules of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss items for clients.
Gather required financial documents from clients, checking facts and figures, and assisting with tax return preparation, working with tax reports and tax exemption records.
Assist payroll calculations and financial administration.
Assist with filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records. Assistance with reviewing expenses and payroll records.

The video interview will consist of a series of questions. You will be asked competency-based questions that look at different elements of your personality and workstyle.
